While Orlandians may think of Weston Jandacka as a typography-based oil painter after viewing our our February show, Superimpose – where his works displayed disguised phrases such as: “This Shit’s Expensive” and “More Than It’s Weight In Gold,” Weston is by no means tied to one theme or style of work. While consistently working in oils or mixed media, Weston explores a vast realm of themes in his work and continues to impress us while doing so.

YESTERDAY’S ALREADY TOMORROW

Weston Jandacka - Core Gallery

Taking a large turn from his last collection, Weston’s new exhibition, “Yesterday’s Already Tomorrow,” opening tomorrow night, July 11th at Core Gallery – is described as a “Wild Child Warrior Shop.”

The new work released in this show heavily hones in on the “romanticized ideal of youthful abandonment: to be free, run wild, to be a wild child.” Weston utilizes warrior motifs to explore concepts of exploration, freedom and nostalgia.
